Karachi — Prominent industrialist Dr. Danish Aman, Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) Southern Zone, along with PTA Central Chairman Hamid Zahur, hosted a high-level meeting with a visiting Uzbek delegation led by H.E. Zoir Toirovich Mirzaev, Governor of the Navoiy Region.

The delegation was accompanied by H.E. Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, during their official visit to Karachi on April 30, 2026.
The meeting focused on expanding bilateral trade relations and exploring new opportunities for industrial collaboration between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, with a particular emphasis on the leather and tanning sector.
Discussions highlighted the potential for joint ventures, technology exchange, and enhanced market access between the two countries, aiming to strengthen commercial ties and promote sustainable industrial growth.
The Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), as the leading representative body of Pakistan’s leather industry, reaffirmed its commitment to fostering international partnerships and supporting export-oriented development in the sector.
Participants expressed optimism that strengthened engagement between Pakistani and Uzbek stakeholders would open new avenues for trade diversification and long-term economic cooperation.
