KARACHI: A delegation of the business community led by Dr Danish Aman, Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (South Zone), met with Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan to discuss key issues facing Pakistan’s trade and industrial sectors.

KARACHI: A delegation of the business community led by Dr Danish Aman, Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (South Zone), met with Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan to discuss key issues facing Pakistan’s trade and industrial sectors.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on trade expansion, export growth, and the challenges confronting the business community, with a particular focus on the leather industry—one of Pakistan’s key export-oriented sectors.

The delegation highlighted concerns related to production costs, global competitiveness, and the need for policy support to boost exports. They also shared proposals aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s export potential and improving industrial performance.

 Jam Kamal Khan assured the delegation that the government is committed to facilitating businesses and addressing industry concerns to strengthen economic growth and trade development.

Participants described the meeting as productive and constructive, emphasizing the importance of continued engagement between policymakers and industry stakeholders to unlock new opportunities and support sustainable industrial development.
