Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured full support of the Federal government in elimination of corruption from Punjab.
He was speaking during a meeting of Punjab Cabinet in Lahore on Saturday.
During the meeting, various political issues especially the upcoming Presidential elections, by-elections in Punjab and PTI first 100days agenda came under discussion.
Prime Minister speaking on the occasion said elimination of corruption is a greatest challenge in province.
He expressed concern over land grabbers and illegal encroachment mafias and directed to take immediate action against the mafia.
Prime Minister said Punjab Government’s performance should be exemplary for other provinces as well.
He said there is a need to pay attention on development of human resources.
He stressed upon the Provincial Cabinet to follow the austerity drive.
PM chairs meeting of provincial secretaries of Punjab in Lahore
Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of provincial secretaries of Punjab in Lahore on Saturday evening.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar was also present on this occasion.
Addressing the meeting, he said the hardships require major decisions.
Imran Khan said the role of bureaucracy is tremendously important for the implementation of government’s agenda.
He said merit and transparency should be ensured at every level in the larger interest of the country.
He said like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the government will not interfere in the matters of the bureaucracy.
Imran Khan directs NADRA to address difficulties faced by people in getting their CNICs
Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of unnecessary hurdles placed by the administration on occasion of his visit to Lahore.
He ordered to remove all unnecessary hurdles without any delay.
Prime Minister has also taken notice of the protest being staged by people at Zaman Park in Lahore against the policies of NADRA and difficulties in getting the identity cards.The Prime Minister directed chairman NADRA to meet the people and address their grievances.
