Moreover, the discussion covered market entry strategies, packaging standards, compliance requirements, consumer trends, and supply chain expectations.
As a result, Pakistani exporters received practical guidance on positioning premium Pakistani basmati rice in the US retail market.
Delegation Visits USDA Inspection Office
The delegation also visited the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service under the United States Department of Agriculture.
During the visit, officials briefed participants on import inspection procedures, quarantine regulations, phytosanitary standards, and clearance mechanisms for agricultural products entering the United States.
B2B Networking Session Connects Exporters and Buyers
Later, the Houston Trade and Investment office, in collaboration with the Pakistan Business Chamber Houston, organized a B2B networking session.
The event connected the REAP delegation with US-based rice importers, distributors, wholesalers, and food industry representatives.
Furthermore, participants discussed market trends, explored new business opportunities, and worked on strengthening commercial partnerships.

A special podcast session also featured delegation leaders and prominent US-based importers.
The discussion focused on the quality, competitiveness, and rising global demand for Pakistani basmati rice.
In addition, speakers highlighted opportunities to improve branding and expand the presence of Pakistani rice products in the American market.
Officials believe the visit will contribute positively to bilateral trade relations and create new opportunities for Pakistani rice exporters in the United States.
