A highly secretive drug network operating in Karachi has been exposed during the interrogation of alleged cocaine dealer Anmol, alias Pinky, investigators revealed on Thursday.
Iran Says Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts Face Challenges Amid Gulf Tensions
According to officials, the network used advanced communication methods and strict operational controls to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies.
Network Used SIM-Less Phones and Social Media
Investigators said Pinky allegedly managed a well-organized cocaine supply operation through mobile phones without SIM cards.
Moreover, members of the network communicated through social media platforms to reduce the risk of surveillance.
Officials explained that the system operated in a triangular structure, with Pinky serving as the central link between buyers and delivery riders.
Riders and Buyers Kept Separate
According to investigators, delivery riders did not know the identities of buyers.
Similarly, buyers also remained unaware of the source of the narcotics.
Once payment was confirmed in a designated account, riders reportedly proceeded with deliveries.
In several cases, riders allegedly left cocaine at pre-decided locations and then sent photographs and location details to Pinky.
Afterward, she would forward the information to the buyers.
Network Had Backup Strategy Against Arrests
Officials further revealed that the network followed a strict contingency plan in case any operative was arrested.
If a rider came into police or agency custody, the network immediately cut all ties with that individual.
Furthermore, investigators said even released operatives were never allowed to rejoin the group.
According to sources, the system helped the network continue operating despite arrests and raids.
Financial Operative Detained in Gulistan-e-Jauhar
Meanwhile, police and sensitive agencies reportedly detained one of Pinky’s alleged key operatives along with an associate from Gulistan-e-Jauhar late Wednesday night.
Investigators said the suspect handled financial transactions connected to the network.
Authorities reportedly tracked the suspect through mobile location data after tracing payments allegedly transferred by drug buyers into his account.
Blackmail Allegations Surface
Sources also claimed that Pinky allegedly collected information about police officers through certain senior officials to pressure or blackmail them if investigations intensified.
However, police have not officially confirmed those allegations.
The investigation into the network remains ongoing.
