Cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas was declared the “overall best foreign military cadet” at the Royal Military College Duntroon during the passing-out parade held in Canberra on May 5.

The award recognizes the highest-performing foreign cadet across all aspects of military training, reflecting excellence in leadership, discipline, and professional standards. ISPR described the achievement as a testament to the commitment and capabilities of Pakistan Army’s junior leadership.

The commissioning parade was reviewed by Simon Stuart, Chief of Army of Australia, and attended by senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, including Pakistan’s High Commissioner, as well as families of graduating cadets.

Officials highlighted the longstanding military relationship between Pakistan and Australia. Since 2009, 46 Pakistani cadets have graduated from RMC Duntroon, while several Pakistan Army officers have also served as instructors at the institution.

This marks the 14th time a Pakistani cadet has received the prestigious “best foreign cadet” award. The list of recipients includes Nasir Hussain Khalid Selhria, who was martyred in 2020. His name remains inscribed on the memorial at the RMC parade ground, symbolizing the enduring legacy of courage and sacrifice.

The recognition underscores Pakistan Army’s continued commitment to excellence and its strong representation at international military training institutions.
