In which Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar, HI (M) participated alongwith families of Martys and the war vatrens.
Karachi : At the beginning of the day, Corps Commander Karachi visited Mazar-e-Quaid, laid floral wreath. After saluting at Mazar-e-Quaid, Corps Commander endorsed his comments in the guest book. After that, the Corps Commander participated in a special ceremony organized at the Martyr’s Memorial in Malir Cantonment. Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori along with Corps Commander Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar attended the Martyrs Memorial. Ministers present at the ceremony, DG Rangers, IG Sindh and other participants also visited the martyrs’ memorial and laid floral wreaths. The relatives of the martyrs and the Ghazis also visited the martyrs’ memorial and laid floral wreaths. Paying tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs, the participants prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs of Pakistan. On this occasion, the Governor Sindh paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and said that the sacrifices of the martyrs of the country are our capital. Corps Commander described the persistence and patience of the martyrs’ families as a proverb for the nation and said that along with the defence agencies, other law enforcement agencies have also made many sacrifices in the war against terrorism. Governor Sindh along with Corps Commander Karachi met the families of the martyrs and appreciated their determination and courage. On this occasion, the families of the martyrs expressed their devotion and unwavering faith in their homeland.
Later, the Corps Commander Karachi went to meet families of martyrs at their residences. Corps Commander Karachi met the family members of Brigadier Hussain Shaheed and Havaldar Azam Shaheed. While meeting the families of the martyrs, he paid rich tribute to their eternal sacrifices. Corps Commander said that our martyrs are our pride, thanks to whom we are an independent and proud state today. The families of the martyrs thanked the Corps Commander for his full support and also expressed that they will never hesitate to make further sacrifices for their country. Corps Commander also performed fatiha Khwani along with the families of the martyrs.
