KARACHI: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new Biker Service to provide citizens with essential facilities without requiring them to visit NADRA offices, ARY News reported.
During the launch event, NADRA Karachi region’s Director General, Ehtasham Shahid, handed over the keys of fully equipped motorcycles to the designated bikers.
According to his statement, the service will be available across Karachi from Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. Citizens can register for the service by calling the NADRA helpline, enabling them to renew their CNICs and access other related services from the comfort of their homes.
However, the service does not cover the issuance of new CNICs, which will still require a visit to NADRA offices.
Ehtasham Shahid further stated that after its successful launch in Karachi, the service will be expanded to Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas.
Residents can avail the NADRA Biker Service by paying an additional fee of Rs. 1,000 on top of the standard renewal charges. The documents will be delivered directly to applicants at their doorstep, eliminating the need for in-person collection.
Currently, three motorcycles have been allocated for Karachi. The initiative was initially introduced in Punjab and has now been extended to Sindh.
