MoU signed between Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) and Commissioner Karachi to prevent Dengue Disease, by staff reporter Karachi
Amid rising cases of dengue in the metropolis, Commissioner Karachi and FGRF, a welfare division of Dawateislami have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to control and prevent the spread of Dengue Disease in the city. According to the MoU, FRGF will provide volunteer support to the divisional administration to work with the district health and municipal teams. FGRF will also carry out awareness campaigns to apprise the general public regarding the diseases, including symptoms, biting patterns, potential larva-breeding sites, and post-diagnoses mechanism, the MOU said.
FGRF will also facilitate the division administration in arranging training sessions, provide machinery/equipment to larva-breeding sites and fogging activities, and assist in the case response activities for each dengue case reported.
As per the MOU, the office of Commissioner Karachi will facilitate FGRF in creating liaisons with the health department, district administration, and other line departments for organising master training sessions and awareness campaigns regarding the dengue disease.
