LADIESFUND officially launched its Malaysia chapter in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together women leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, academics, and creatives for a high-level roundtable focused on leadership, education, and global collaboration.

The event took place at Naghmana House and was hosted by Naghmana Riazuddin. Moreover, the gathering marked a major expansion of the global women’s leadership movement founded by Tara Uzra Dawood.
Initiative Focuses on Scholarships and Leadership Development
LADIESFUND Malaysia aims to strengthen cross-border collaboration among women leaders while supporting initiatives in Pakistan related to scholarships, digital skills, internships, leadership training, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the launch, Tara Uzra Dawood described the initiative as “a force multiplier for women.” She added that women working together across borders can create new opportunities for future generations.
Furthermore, she highlighted the “Educate a Girl” initiative, which focuses on empowering young women in Pakistan through education and career development.
Women Leaders from Diverse Industries Attend Event
The launch featured professionals from finance, healthcare, education, technology, media, and the arts. Participants included Sadaf Farasat, Rubab Fatima, Ruslina Baharum, Sonia Khan, and Narmeen Khan.
In addition, Faridza Khan, Erum Zain, Rubina Mustafa Kamal, and several other professionals attended the event.
Speakers Highlight Representation and Global Impact
Dr. Naghmana Riazuddin stressed the importance of representation and role models for young girls. She said LADIESFUND showcases the achievements of Pakistani women globally and encourages future generations to aim higher.
Meanwhile, Narmeen Khan described the event as inspiring and transformative. Sonia Khan also praised the initiative and emphasized the value of collaboration and self-investment.
Additionally, several participants expressed support for mentorship programs, education projects, and community impact initiatives.
Student Interns Inspire Future Leadership Vision
A key highlight of the event was the participation of four student interns — Manahil, Alina, Hayatt, and Mishaal — who volunteered during the launch. The students described the experience as empowering and educational.
The event concluded with a shared commitment to expanding LADIESFUND Malaysia’s role in advancing women’s leadership, mentorship, and education across borders.
