According to officials, the hospital is now catering to a growing number of patients, with over 400 individuals visiting the outpatient department (OPD) daily. The facility is also handling approximately 25 deliveries each day, reflecting its increasing role in providing essential maternity services.

Despite the expansion, KMC has maintained highly affordable healthcare charges to ensure accessibility for low-income families. The OPD fee is set at just Rs20, while normal deliveries cost Rs500. Cesarean section (C-section) procedures are being offered at Rs1,000, making the hospital one of the most cost-effective maternity care providers in Karachi.

The upgrade is part of broader efforts by KMC to strengthen public healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services for residents across the city. The initiative is expected to ease the burden on other public hospitals while ensuring safe and affordable maternal care.
