KARACHI – Avari Towers Hotel in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan in Karachi brings the Japanese palate to the food enthusiasts of Karachi. The Japanese Food Festival at Fujiyama Restaurant will be offering a wide variety of delicious Japanese Cuisine from 7th- 16th December 2018.
His Excellency, Mr. & Mrs. Toshikazu Isomura, Consul-General of Japan along with Mr. Katsunori Ashida, Deputy Consul-General of Japan and Mr. Grant Raubenheimer VP Operation Avari Hotels inaugurated the “Japanese Food Festival” at Fujiyama Restaurant.
The Japanese Food Festival begun with a press conference where the Japanese Consulate officials together with Avari Towers management briefed the media about the concept behind this Food Festival. Present at the media table were Mr. Toshikazu Isomura, Consul-General of Japan, Mr. Katsunori Ashida, Deputy Consul-General of Japan, Mr. Grant Raubenheimer VP Operation Avari Hotels, Mr. Carlito Magno Japanese Head Chef, and Mr. Naim, Executive Chef Avari Towers. The event progressed to the ribbon cutting ceremony at Fujiyama Restaurant. The Chef along with the Deputy Consul General demonstrated their culinary skills by showcasing the slicing techniques of a fish for sushi along with the demonstration od sushi making while the food lovers from the different communities enjoyed the interesting art and taste of Japanese gastronomy.
Consul-General of Japan, Mr. Toshikazu Isomura stated, “It is wonderful to see Japanese culture emerging in Pakistan & since the Japanese dishes depict the traditions, fusion of cultures in different flavors from Japan, it is a pleasure seeing people getting a chance to enjoy Japanese cuisine.”
The 10 day long food festival will be featuring a specially designed menu which starts with Miso and Seafood clear soup, cold and hot appetisers like mixed Sushi, Sashimi, Hiyashi Wakame, Namayasai Salad, Sakana Tempura, Agedashi Tofu, Negima Yaki, Edamame, whereas a few of the main courses include Tori Katsu, Sakana Teriyaki, Ebi Ramen, Gohan and the most famous Teppanyaki’s comprising Ninnikku Gohan, Gyu Teppanyaki,Tori Teppanyaki and the list continues.
