KARACHI – The Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi has collaborated with the Orchid School Chapter Clifton to hold an International Children’s Day Commemoration event. This activity is also a realization of the Indonesia-Pakistan Children Friendship (IPCF) program which was launched in July 2021.
The activity was opened with remarks from the Principle of the Orchid School, Mrs. Zarah Hanif, to welcome the initiative of the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi, which paid attention to children through this program and also as an effort to improve bilateral relations between the two countries. Also present on this occasion, Mr. Junaid Khalil Nanitalwala, Managing Director of Medicam Group, and Mr. Khurram Khalil Nanitalwala, COO of Medicam Group and family.
On the same occasion, Mrs. Ani Kuncoro as Chairwomen of the Indonesian Women Association (DWP KJRI Karachi) was present to accompany Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, in her speech conveyed the importance of Indonesian and Pakistani children to know each other from an early age, as two nations that have been friends for a long time. This is in line with the theme of commemorating international children’s day which emphasizes a good future for children all over the world through the Indonesia-Pakistan Children Friendship program. The Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi really appreciates the collaboration and warm reception from The Orchid School, it is hoped to have a continuous collaboration in other programs.
The activity was carried out by holding an introduction game about Indonesia and a drawing competition with the theme of friendship between Indonesian and Pakistani children, which was participated by Pakistani and Indonesian children. On this occasion, Pakistani children were also introduced to various Indonesian traditional cakes.
