The highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025 is expected to kick off on September 5, with arch-rivals India and Pakistan set to clash at least twice during the tournament. According to Indian media reports, their first showdown is scheduled for September 7 during the group stage, with a potential rematch in the Super Four stage likely to take place on September 14.
The tournament will span 17 days, culminating in the final on September 21. Six teams — India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE — will compete in the event, which will follow the group stage and Super Four format.
Although India is the official host of the Asia Cup 2025, matches will be played in the UAE. This decision comes as the Indian government is reportedly nearing final approval for the tournament amid concerns over political tensions with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, official broadcaster Sony has already begun promotional activities, releasing posters and teasers across its social media platforms to build anticipation for the tournament.
