Pro-Palestinian rapper Macklemore has just released a new song called “Hind’s Hall 2.” This track features Palestinian artists MC Abdul, Amer Zahr, and Anees Mokhiber. It follows his earlier song, “Hind’s Hall,” which highlighted the struggles in Gaza and criticized the U.S. government’s stance on Israel.
Macklemore announced the release on Instagram with a photo of three smiling children taken by Gazan photographer Motaz Azaiza. He pledged that all proceeds from the song will go to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), just like with the first song.
The title “Hind’s Hall” honors six-year-old Hind Rajab, who was killed by Israeli forces. The song opens with powerful lyrics from Mokhiber, stating, “In our lifetime we will be free.” Macklemore also takes a shot at Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, asking her to stop funding military aid to Israel.
Since its release, “Hind’s Hall 2” has gained over 12,000 views, and Macklemore’s Instagram post about it has received more than 67,000 likes. He’s one of the few mainstream artists openly supporting Palestinian rights and recently canceled shows in the UAE due to its connections with Israel. Macklemore is also scheduled to perform at the Palestine Will Live Forever festival in Seattle on September 21.
