KARACHI: On Tuesday, 10 June 2023, Italy celebrates the 77th National Day of the Republic of Italy. The Republic Festival or Festa Della Repubblica is a day of celebration where Italy finally became a republic after the polls decided on the form of government in Italy in 1946.
As a celebration, Italian Consul General Mr. Danilo Giurdanella, the Consulate of Italy in Karachi hosted a large reception at the Avari Towers in Karachi to mark Italy’s National 77th Republic Day. Ambassador at Large for Global Peace, Human Rights & Interfaith Harmony Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui Chairman, Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) has felicitated the government, the Consul General and people of Italy Republic Day. He was the participants of a reception regarding Republic Day of Italy.
The Consul General of Italy, Mr. Danilo Giurdanella appreciated the friendship and closeness of Pakistani people and the growing relations between Italy and Pakistan in all sectors.
The opening ceremony began with screening anthems from Italy and Pakistan. The chief guest of the evening was Hon. Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, Provincial Minister for Education and Culture Sardar Shah. The event was attended by Rear Admiral Salman Ilyas, MD Shipyard & EW, Mr. Iqbal Memon, Commissioner Karachi, many diplomats, notable businessmen, artists, and government officials and other distinguished government officials.
Ambassador at Large for Global Peace, Human Rights & Interfaith Harmony Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui Chairman of Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) said that Pakistan and Italy have commonality of views on broad range of regional and international issues. Italy and Pakistan enjoy cordial relations and cooperation in political, economic, cultural and social spheres.
He said that the Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) reassures of its cooperation and support with Italy to the fullest and looks forward to enhancing bilateral engagement between the two countries.
The Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) looks forward to further strengthening its partnership with Italy for the achievement of its objectives of interfaith harmony, FoRB, peace prosperity, expanding and deepening our mutually beneficial relationship in common spiritual values, cultural exchange & social spheres.
