Moscow: In 2024, the Great Moscow Regatta is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the victory of the Russian men’s doubles four at the Olympic Games in Athens. More than 1,500 athletes from 8 countries will take part in the competition: Cuba, Serbia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Armenia and Russia. Medals will be awarded among adults, juniors under 23, juniors under 19, veterans, students and amateurs. The silver medalist of the 2020 Olympics, European champion Elena Oryabinskaya, European champion, World Championship medalist Ekaterina Sevostyanova, European champion Pavel Sorin, two-time bronze medalist of the World Junior Championships under 23 Nikita Eskin and many others will come to the start of the competition.
On the final day, June 2, there will be final races in large classes (fours, eights), as well as sprint races and races among masters. On June 1 and 2, the second summer stage of the Student Rowing League (eights, 2,000 meters) will take place, in which 44 crews from Russian universities will take part.
