Federal Minister Information Technology inaugurates OMYS 50th Year History Book

KARACHI – Golden Jubilee event by The Okhai Memon Youth Services (OMYS) was held last night at Husainabad Family Park, Karachi. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister Information Technology was Chief Guest and inaugurated OMYS 50^th Year History Book. He appreciated efforts of Okhai Memon Community and admired the role of Youth Services for the development of youngster. He emphasis in his message that Education is most powerful weapon in this fast growing world and technical skills are necessary for professional survival in fast rapid technological era.

President Abdul Rasheed shared his views with audience that l learned lot of new learning while interacted with Founder members, ex office bearers and patrons. Key message for us is to assess our 50 year performance and device a comprehensive plan for next 50 years that what things we need to continue, which practices we should stop or shift from OMYS and what new things we need to adopt as part of modern era requirement.

Honorable Ebrahim Hasham, Husain Hasham and Daughters of Founder President Late Usman Hasham were special guest of occasion and cake cutting ceremony was executed by Hasham Family.

All Ex-Office Bearers and Patrons were guest in venue and Office Bearers presented award to them in recognition of their outstanding efforts and services during their respective term in OMYS.

OMYS last 50 years journey was shared with members through documentary, a special song dedicated to late Usman Hasham and OMYS role in community for education.

At the end of program special awards were presented to following volunteers on their efforts in different segments; Ali Ganatra, Sattar Gatta, Wahid Gatta and Farooq Aswani for Event Management,  Rafiq Vayani for Media Support, Razzak Lakha, Khurram, Faisal Gaba and Mohamad Ali Kerya for Documentary, Razzal Lakha, Yousuf Jakhura, Shahzad Karar for History Book, Faisal Gaba, Saleem Gabrani and Shahid Ganatra for OMYS Song and Irfan Suriya for Founder President Song
