RAWALPINDI: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, strongly criticized Indian media for celebrating the horrific terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on May 21. The assault, which claimed the lives of six children and injured over 50—mostly minors—was attributed to Indian-sponsored militants, referred to as “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
During a joint press conference with Interior Secretary Khurram Agha, it was revealed that the initial investigation linked the incident to a pattern of terror activities allegedly backed by India’s intelligence agency, RAW. The officials claimed that these attacks are part of a larger Indian agenda aimed at destabilizing Balochistan and sabotaging Pakistan’s developmental progress.
Khurram Agha condemned the attack as a cowardly act against soft targets like children and laborers, marking a shift in tactics by Indian proxies after failures in direct confrontations. He asserted that these efforts are reminiscent of India’s historical strategy used in 1971, aimed at spreading chaos and fear.
Despite these provocations, Agha affirmed Pakistan’s resolve to dismantle such networks, highlighting the unity and resilience of the people of Balochistan against foreign-sponsored terror. He reassured that the federal and provincial governments, along with security forces, are fully capable of eliminating these threats and delivering justice.
DG ISPR Chaudhry detailed a timeline of previous attacks linked to Fitna al-Hindustan, including deadly incidents targeting laborers and public transport. He also mentioned the confessions of detained militants and the case of former Indian naval officer Kulbhushan Yadav as further proof of India’s direct involvement.
Chaudhry denounced the attacks as acts lacking humanity and any connection to Baloch culture or values, emphasizing they are driven purely by Indian directives. He also criticized Indian media and social media platforms for glorifying such terrorism, presenting video evidence and screenshots to support the claim.
He concluded by praising the courage of Balochistan’s citizens and pledged that Pakistan’s security forces will take firm and decisive action against this wave of terrorism.
