The plane carrying the dead body of senior journalist and anchor Arshad Sharif, who was killed by firing in Kenya, landed at Islamabad Airport.
Arshad Sharif’s family members were present at Islamabad Airport to receive his body.
His dead body will be kept in the mortuary of Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital.
According to family sources, Arshad Sharif’s funeral prayer will be offered at Shah Faisal Mosque on Thursday at 2 o’clock, while the burial will be done at the H-11 cemetery.
Arshad Sharif’s body was flown from Nairobi to Doha by a foreign airline at 1:00 pm last night, after which the body was flown to Pakistan at 3:14 pm from Doha.
It should be noted that Arshad Sharif was shot in the head by the police on Sunday night on the Nairobi Magadi highway due to an alleged mistaken identity.
Yesterday, the Pakistani High Commissioner in Kenya, Syeda Saqlain, supervised all the steps for the departure of the deceased for several hours and was present at the Nairobi Airport.
