Punjab, Pakistan — In a powerful demonstration of compassion, corporate responsibility, and impact-driven philanthropy, Dawood Global Foundation (DGF), in partnership with Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), has successfully delivered 75 high-quality wheelchairs to underserved public healthcare facilities in Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Taunsa (D.G. Khan District), Chakwal and Attock.
This initiative is part of DGF’s ambitious “10,000 Wheelchairs for Pakistan” campaign—aimed at restoring dignity, independence, and mobility for individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and trauma-affected patients across Pakistan’s most underserved regions.
“Mobility is a basic right—not a luxury. These wheelchairs are restoring dignity and self-reliance where it’s needed most,” said Mr. Shahid Ch., representative of Dawood Global Foundation, during the distribution event held at THQ Hospital, Sadiqabad.
Representing OGDCL, Mr. Abdul Rahim, Social Welfare Officer Multan, reinforced the organization’s commitment to healthcare-focused CSR, stated, “Through partnerships like these, OGDCL proudly supports equitable access to health services in Pakistan’s most remote areas.”
Local health officials lauded the initiative for its tangible and immediate impact. Dr. Hafiz Babar Ali, Medical Superintendent of THQ Hospital, Sadiqabad, said, “This is more than a donation—it’s a life-changing gift for many of our patients. We are grateful for the care and commitment shown by DGF and OGDCL.”
A second impactful distribution was held at THQ Hospital, Taunsa, where 20 additional wheelchairs were delivered. The event was attended by Mr. Malik Nazir Ahmed (DGF Representative), Mr. Abdul Rahim (OGDCL Representative), and Mr. Sarmad Abbas (THQ Hospital, Taunsa), and a third ceremony was held in Chakwal and Attock.
“These wheelchairs symbolize freedom and inclusion. We are proud to support a movement that restores mobility and transforms lives,” said Mr. Malik Nazir Ahmed.
“DGF and OGDCL are not only improving healthcare—they’re offering hope and dignity. Each wheelchair represents a life empowered,” added Mr. Sarmad Abbas.
