Realising the social and financial responsibility to the newly inducted female employees of the department, on the eve of International Customs Day 2023, “Customs Women Empowerment Rally” was arranged by the collectorate of Customs, Jinnah International Airport, Karachi in collaboration with Dr. Essa Laboratory on 24 Jan, 2023; wherein, thirteen (13) Women Officers & Officials (POs and Lady Sepoys) of the PAKISTAN CUSTOMS SERVICE, after successful completion of their Motorbike Riding Training, participated with full enthusiasm and zeal.
The training initiative was arranged by the collectorate to develop their motorbike driving skills which will be beneficial to them and for the department besides enabling them to contribute for the country.
At the end of magnificent ceremony “certificates along with voluntarily new motorcycles” were distributed among the lady trainees. It was, indeed, first-ever & unprecedented of such events in Pakistan Customs Service wherein free bikes are distributed in needy female sepoys & employees.
This has paved the way to take more such initiatives for female employees of the Customs department.
