Karachi : A walk and seminar were organized at Kharadar General Hospital to create awareness and prevent breast cancer among women. On this occasion, the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Khalid Iqbal said that developing countries can control breast cancer through preventive measures and health awareness. He said that 40,000 women die every year due to this disease. While 90,000 new cases are registered every year. A large number of surgeons, gynecologists, doctors, and nurses participated in the awareness walk. Addressing the seminar, surgeon and breast specialist Dr. Farhana Memon said that keeping an eye on your physical changes for your health, consulting a doctor early, regularly examining other women in the family affected by breast cancer, and early diagnosis through early diagnostic facilities can save human lives. And breast cancer can be controlled. On this occasion, Surgeon Ashfaq Ahmed said that Kharadar General Hospital is playing an important role in health awareness and ensuring the provision of information to the general public. He said that health is a great blessing of Allah and its protection is our first responsibility. It is necessary to implement preventive measures to save from the complications of breast cancer and a painful life. He said that it is the responsibility of every person associated with the health sector to play their role in raising awareness about breast cancer. Dr. Musarat Agha, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, said that breastfeeding by mothers is a natural and natural way to prevent breast cancer and it also improves the lives of children.
