BoK Islamabad Women League U-19 Concludes with a Thrilling  Final Thunder Crowned Champions

Islamabad, 05 January 2026: The BoK Islamabad Women League U-19 came to an exciting conclusion
today as Thunder lifted the championship trophy after defeating Striker by 29 runs in a thrilling final at
the COMSATS University Cricket Stadium, Islamabad.
A total of 56 young players participated in the tournament and were divided into four competitive teams,
highlighting the growing depth of female cricketing talent in the country.
The final match showcased exceptional skill, passion and competitive spirit, reflecting the bright future of
women’s cricket in Pakistan. Batting first Thunder posted a total of 105 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. In
response, Striker were all out for 76 runs.
The champions demonstrated outstanding teamwork and resilience throughout the tournament, setting a
strong example for aspiring young female cricketers nationwide.
Rozina Akram was named Player of the Match for her stellar performance, scoring 30 runs in 30 balls
while she took 3 wickets for 10 runs in 3.3 overs. Nosheen Khushal was adjudged Player of the
Tournament for her consistent performances.
The BoK Islamabad Women League U-19 proved to be a resounding success and marked a significant
milestone in the development and promotion of women’s cricket in Pakistan. The tournament was
organized by Cric19.com and sponsored by Bank of Khyber, Qabeelah and Lake Shore City.
Speaking at the conclusion of the final, Mr. Ali Hemani, CEO, Islamabad Women League, reaffirmed his
commitment to the growth of women’s cricket in the country.
“By providing a competitive platform, professional exposure, and media coverage, Cric19.com aims to
bridge the gap between grassroots talent and higher-level cricket opportunities. This final was not just
about winning a trophy; it was about giving young girls the confidence, visibility, and belief that they
belong on the cricket field. Pakistan has immense female cricketing talent, and our goal is to nurture it.”
Following the successful completion of the Under-19 tournament, plans are already underway to launch a
senior women’s league, further strengthening the pathway for female cricketers in Pakistan.
