Islamabad: Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to return to the National Assembly while continuing its legal efforts for imprisoned leader Imran Khan. In a recent National Assembly session, Bilawal criticized PTI for leaving the assembly, saying, “I’ve repeatedly advised PTI not to abandon their seats. Their absence is hurting both them and the country.”
Bilawal emphasized that PTI should balance their legal battle with their parliamentary responsibilities. He expressed concern that the current state of politics is becoming disheartening for young people, making them reluctant to enter politics.
He also took aim at provincial leaders, particularly Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who recently faced backlash for his harsh remarks against journalists. Bilawal argued that such behavior only worsens the political climate and hampers effective governance.
To address these challenges, Bilawal proposed forming a parliamentary committee with representatives from all political parties to work on resolving ongoing issues through constructive dialogue.
