Nairobi: To investigate the murder case of senior journalist Arshad Sharif, Pakistani officers questioned Waqar Ahmed and Khurram Ahmed, the citizens of Karachi who miraculously survived the shooting incident, in Kenya.
According to private TV, Pakistan’s investigation team questioned the two brothers, Khurram Ahmed and Waqar Ahmed, regarding the incident.
Sources said that Waqar Ahmed told that a friend had asked to host Arshad Sharif, Arshad Sharif was staying at my guest house for 2 months, had met Arshad Sharif only once for a meal before Nairobi.
According to the sources, Waqar Ahmed said that he had invited Arshad Sharif for a meal at his lodge outside Nairobi. On the day of the incident, Arshad Sharif had a meal at the lodge. Hours later, there was a report of firing on the vehicle.
According to the sources, Khurram Ahmed said that after leaving the lodge, there is a dirt road of 18 km and then the road starts, some stones were placed a little before the start of the road. The car drove away.
Waqar Ahmed told the investigation team that Khurram was miraculously safe during the shooting incident, and handed over the iPad and mobile phone used by Arshad Sharif to the Kenyan authorities.
The two brothers told the Pakistani investigating officers that Arshad Sharif was planning to move to Nairobi and for that they extended the visa period.
It should be remembered that a two-member team consisting of FIA and Intelligence Bureau officers is present in Kenya for investigation where senior journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead a few days ago.
