Andrew Tate: Influencer and Brother Arrested in US Over UK Extradition Request
US authorities detain Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami as British prosecutors seek their extradition to face new charges, including rape, sex trafficking and assault.

Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami following a UK extradition request.
Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami on Saturday after British authorities requested their extradition to face new criminal charges, the US Marshals Service and UK prosecutors said.
The US Marshals Service confirmed the arrests of Andrew Tate, 39, and his younger brother. Officials said they could not disclose the specific charges because the arrest warrant remains under seal.
Video published by US media outlet TMZ showed law enforcement officers placing the brothers in handcuffs before escorting them into waiting vehicles. Tristan Tate did not respond when an onlooker asked him to comment.
The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that the arrests followed an extradition request from British authorities.
The CPS said prosecutors intend to bring the brothers back to the United Kingdom to face additional criminal charges.
According to British authorities, the Tate brothers face 59 charges in total. Andrew Tate faces 42 charges, while Tristan Tate faces 17.
The new allegations include rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault, and offences involving indecent images of a child, according to the CPS.
Malcolm McHaffie, Head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said prosecutors filed the new charges after receiving additional evidence from Bedfordshire Police. He said the latest evidence increased the number of alleged victims in the case to seven.
Earlier this year, Hertfordshire Police reopened an investigation into allegations of rape and sexual assault made against Andrew Tate between 2014 and 2015.
The brothers also face separate investigations by Bedfordshire Police involving allegations of rape and human trafficking. Authorities are also investigating them over alleged tax evasion and money laundering in the United Kingdom.
Their lawyer, Joseph McBride, denied all allegations and said the brothers are innocent.
“We are confident that once a competent judge reviews the facts, Andrew and Tristan Tate will walk free,” McBride said in a statement.
The Tate brothers hold dual British and US citizenship. They have publicly supported US President Donald Trump in recent years.
In March 2025, Florida authorities opened a separate criminal investigation into the brothers. Officials have not announced the current status of that inquiry.
Andrew Tate has built a large online following through content promoting traditional masculinity, self-improvement and views widely criticised as misogynistic. He has more than 10 million followers on X.
The brothers also face separate criminal proceedings in Romania, where prosecutors have accused them of offences including human trafficking, trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, and money laundering. The Tates deny all allegations against them.
