Ali Zafar is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, model, actor, producer and screenwriter. He was born on May 18, 1980 in Lahore Pakistan. His father is Mohammad Zafarullah and mother is Kanwal Ameen. Both of them were professors at the University of Punjab. He has two brothers, Zain and Danyal. Ali Zafar received his early education from C.A.A. Public School and then graduated from Government College of Lahore and National College of Arts.
He was married to his fiancée Ayesha Fazli, she is a distant relative of Indian actor Aamir Khan on July 28, 2009 in Lahore Pakistan. The couple is having a son (born in 2010) and a daughter (born in 2015).
He also made a career in Bollywood and his success led many actors to proceed into Hindi films. Ali Zafar started out on Pakistani television before becoming a popular singer.
Ali Zafar gained popularity with his single “Channo” from his debut album “Huqaa Pani” which was sold over five million copies worldwide and came out as a huge success. Ali Zafar made his acting debut with a leading role in the 2010 in Bollywood satire film Tere Bin Laden. It earned him several nominations in the Best Male Debut category as like in Filmfare.
He then also worked in several films including Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Chashme Baddoor and Dear Zindagi. He also participated in concerts, stage shows and tours. Ali Zafar was voted as the “Sexiest Asian Man on the Planet”, based on a worldwide poll by the British newspaper Eastern Eye in 2013.
He also appeared in a Music video which was by Abrar ul haq namely “Preeto Mere Naal” which was also a success. He just presented his song “Larsha Pekhawar” which is with Gul Panra and Fortitude Pukhtoon Core and has been premiered on September 22, 2021.
In 2020, official anthem of PSL was released namely “Tayyar Hein” on January 28, 2020 which was by Arif lohar and Asim Azhar which received hate and people do not liked it. Ali Zafar in love of his homeland Pakistan and his fans released an anthem “Mela Loot Liya” on March 1, 2020 which received so much love from all over Pakistan.
He has contributions and achievements in the field of arts and music and has been awarded the highest literary award, Pride of Performance by President of Pakistan Arif Alvi on March 23, 2021 at ceremony at the President House, Islamabad. He also received five Lux Style Awards and a Filmfare Award nomination.
