Last year Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus President Muhammad Ali Haider signed an MoU with the Sindh Education Foundation, which reiterated that prison schools would be adopted and converted into private schools and built on modern technologies.
The groundbreaking ceremony of PIB Central Jail School, A project of the Government School Adoption Program organized by the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus with collaboration Sindh Education Foundation. The chief guest of the ceremony was the Director of Rotary International Muhammad Faiz Kidwai. Former President of Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus Muhammad Ali Haider gave a school briefing to Muhammad Faiz Kidwai, DIG Prisons Karachi Muhammad Nasir Khan, and others.
IG Prisons Sindh Kazi Nazir Ahmed addressed the ceremony and said that we hope that the future of the children of the jail employees will improve with the arrival of the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus. IG Prisons Sindh had discussed his vision with Muhammad Ali Haider two years ago to adopt the Jail school.
In addition, He said that we will hire a trainer teacher for this school. We will develop this school on modern technologies and give a modern syllabus. InShaAllah, we will make it a model school for the city. We ensure that the children of the prison employees get the same facilities as the children of private schools.
Mohammad Faiz Kidwai said that whatever kind of help is needed will be given to RCK Nexus.
President Rotary Club Karachi of Nexus 2022-23 Syed Khurram Anis reiterated his commitment to make this school a one-year turnover, a vision shared by Muhammad Ali Haider. InShaAllah, this school will be developed on modern Technology.
Designate President of Rotary Club Karachi of Nexus 2024-25 Junaid Hamid said that we have started the planning of the construction work.
RCK Nexus Members include; PP & Chartered Kausar Aslam, Founder & Secretary Aslam Khaliq, Education Chair Roshan Afzal, Urooj, Shanze Haid, Shazia Advani, Zahid Hameed, Javed Zaidi, President-Elect 2024-25 Dr. Khalid Hussain Sheikh and others are present. Sindh Education Foundation Regional Head Karachi Dilshad Pirzada, other officials, and staff of Central Jail Karachi were also present.
Nasir Khan has requested President RCK Nexus to adopt the plantation drive inside the Jail, to which Syed Khurram Anis has expressed his willingness and said soon plantation drive will start inside the jail.
