The two sides have established a Joint Collaborative Framework to promote environmental awareness, encourage sustainable practices and support climate-resilient development. The initiative will bring together public- and private-sector stakeholders to address Punjab’s environmental challenges.

The initiative will also encourage partnerships and wider public participation in environmental programmes. Furthermore, it aims to raise awareness of environmental risks and promote responsible practices across communities and industries.

Initiative Supports UN Sustainable Development Goals

The partnership aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 on Climate Action, SDG 12 on Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals.

By promoting cooperation across sectors, the framework seeks to support sustainability objectives and encourage shared responsibility for environmental protection in Punjab.

Fatima Fertilizer Emphasises Collective Action

Rabel Sadozai, Director Marketing and Sales at Fatima Fertilizer, said environmental progress requires practical action and strong partnerships.

“Building a sustainable future requires collective commitment, practical action and strong partnerships across sectors,” Sadozai said. The company aims to improve environmental awareness, encourage responsible practices and bring stakeholders together around shared sustainability priorities, she added.

Sadozai also stressed the importance of turning awareness into action to advance climate protection and environmental sustainability.

Punjab Government Highlights Public-Private Partnerships

Ms Silwat Saeed, Secretary of EP&CCD, said Fatima Fertilizer was the first company to join the department in this collaborative effort.

She said climate change requires strong partnerships between the public and private sectors. By combining their expertise and resources, both sectors can strengthen environmental awareness, promote sustainable practices and improve resilience for future generations.

The Joint Collaborative Framework highlights the role of cooperation between government institutions and private companies in addressing environmental challenges. Through the initiative, Fatima Fertilizer and EP&CCD aim to encourage a more informed and environmentally conscious society across Punjab.
