Saudi Arabia launches Package Visa to integrate tourist visas with travel bookings.

RIYADH: Package Visa has been launched by Saudi Arabia as a new digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications directly into travel bookings, making it easier for international visitors to plan and experience their journeys.

The initiative is being introduced through qualified travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets before a wider global rollout. It forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to improve visitor experiences and expand access to the Kingdom as its tourism industry continues to grow.

Since introducing its tourist e-Visa programme, Saudi Arabia has expanded entry options through services such as the Visa on Arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa. These measures helped the country welcome more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, reflecting the continued growth of its tourism sector.

Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, said the new initiative demonstrates the Kingdom’s commitment to making travel more convenient by integrating visa issuance with travel bookings. He added that the system creates a more connected visitor experience while strengthening cooperation across the tourism sector and reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.

Under the new system, eligible travellers can arrange flights, accommodation and their tourist visa through a single booking process. They also have the option to include events, attractions and tourism experiences, reducing the number of separate steps required before arrival.

The initiative also offers benefits for qualified travel and tourism service providers by enabling them to create more comprehensive travel packages, improve customer convenience and encourage visitors to stay longer while exploring more destinations across the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia has restricted the programme to qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet defined service standards and provide 24-hour customer support, helping ensure a reliable and seamless travel experience.

The launch of Package Visa represents another milestone in Saudi Arabia’s tourism strategy as the Kingdom continues to develop digital services and make travel more accessible for visitors from around the world.
