Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister for Food Makhdoom Mehboob Uz Zaman on Saturday said the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” (Battle of Truth) reflects Pakistan’s national unity, military strength and unwavering determination in defending the country’s sovereignty.
In a special message issued on the occasion, the provincial minister congratulated the nation, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, martyrs and war veterans, stating that May 10, 2025 would always be remembered as a historic day when Pakistan’s armed forces “crushed the enemy’s arrogance” through courage, professionalism and strategic capability.
Paying tribute to the country’s leadership, he praised Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir for their leadership and commitment during the operation, calling the success of Marka-e-Haq a shining example of Pakistan’s military preparedness and the patriotic spirit of its people.
Makhdoom Mehboob Uz Zaman said the Pakistan Armed Forces demonstrated extraordinary bravery and professional excellence, successfully defeating hostile intentions and delivering a clear message that Pakistan’s sovereignty and defence are non-negotiable.
He stated that the martyrs and veterans of Marka-e-Haq are the pride of the nation and their sacrifices would always remain alive in the hearts of the people. He added that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces and remain ready to make every sacrifice for the defence of the motherland.
The minister also appreciated the diplomatic efforts of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, saying he effectively presented Pakistan’s stance before the international community and highlighted the country’s commitment to peace, stability and regional security.
He remarked that the victory of Marka-e-Haq proved to the world that Pakistan is an unconquerable nation whose unity, patriotism and determination cannot be defeated. According to him, the Pakistani nation has repeatedly demonstrated resilience and solidarity during difficult times.
Emphasising the importance of national cohesion, the Sindh minister said collective responsibility and unwavering support for the armed forces are essential for ensuring Pakistan’s security, stability and progress.
He also urged the younger generation to adopt the spirit of sacrifice, patriotism and unity demonstrated by the armed forces and the nation during Marka-e-Haq.
Concluding his message, Makhdoom Mehboob Uz Zaman said the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq is not only a reminder of a historic victory but also an opportunity to renew the national pledge to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty, dignity and future at all costs.
