Karachi: Pakistan’s celebrated comedy icons Shakeel Siddiqui and Rauf Lala are all set to headline one of the biggest theatrical productions of Eid-ul-Adha 2026, titled “Bakra Petrol Pe.” The mega-budget comedy play will be staged at the prestigious Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, promising audiences a spectacular blend of humour, entertainment, and star power.

The grand inauguration ceremony of the play will take place on May 13 at the Arts Council’s largest auditorium, where leading personalities from Pakistan’s showbiz and theatre industry are expected to attend. The event will also feature the official script distribution among the multi-star cast, marking the formal launch of the highly anticipated Eid production.
Known as the “Sultans of Comedy,” Shakeel Siddiqui and Rauf Lala are expected to appear in entirely new comic avatars, bringing fresh energy and laughter to the stage. Theatre enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the duo’s reunion, which is already generating significant buzz across Karachi’s entertainment circles.
The play is being produced by Asadullah and Amanullah, while veteran theatre personality Younus Memon will direct the production. The script has been penned by Rauf Lala himself, adding further excitement for fans familiar with his signature comic storytelling style.
The production’s chief patrons include Safeer Butt and Shehzad Alam, while Aamir Hukla will serve as assistant director. The musical arrangements for the play are being composed by Mujtaba Naqvi, promising a vibrant theatrical experience filled with comedy, music, and family entertainment.
