According to official sources, Dar briefed the British envoy on Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote engagement among key stakeholders, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path toward the peaceful resolution of disputes in the region. He reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to acting as a facilitator for constructive international communication amid rising tensions.
The British High Commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s role and expressed support for its diplomatic efforts in helping bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table, acknowledging Islamabad’s contribution toward de-escalation and regional stability.
The meeting comes amid intensified diplomatic activity in which Pakistan has positioned itself as a key intermediary in ongoing US-Iran contacts, encouraging dialogue at a critical geopolitical juncture.
Earlier, Dar also held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, where both leaders reviewed recent regional developments and exchanged views on efforts to maintain peace and stability.
The Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives and stressed the importance of continued engagement to avoid further escalation in the region. Both sides agreed to remain in close coordination as regional diplomacy continues to evolve.
