NEW YORK : The head of popular messaging app Telegram says the European Union’s age verification app (designed to protect children online) can be hacked within ‘two minutes’. In a post on X, he said that the European Union age verification app is fundamentally flawed to be hacked. Don’t be so quick to laugh at the Union’s bureaucrats. They needed an excuse to take away consumer freedom and this ‘loophole’ has got them. The European Commission announced a new age verification app last week, claiming it would ‘hold online platforms accountable’ and prioritise child safety over commercial interests so that children can enjoy it too.
