Karachi: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) emerged victorious as the overall winner of the 1st IoBM Inter-University Sports Blitz 2024, held from April 22 to 24, 2024. The event, hosted at IoBM’s campus, showcased a thrilling array of sporting competitions, bringing together as many as 800 students/athletes representing 28 Universities from across Karachi. Organized by IoBM’s Sports and Student Affairs Department in collaboration with IoBM’s Vanquishers Sports Society, this sports event featured an extensive line-up of sports including Futsal, Throwball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Squash, Badminton, Chess, and Snooker.
IoBM clinched the coveted title of overall champion, showcasing its prowess across multiple sporting events. The breakdown of the winners of various sports is as follows: IoBM (Table Tennis Girls Singles, Table Tennis Girls Team Event, Table Tennis Mixed Doubles, Squash, Futsal); IBA (Table tennis Boys Singles); Iqra University (Basketball Boys, Chess, Badminton Boys Singles, Badminton Boys Double, Table Tennis Team Boys Event); Ziauddin University (Snooker, Badminton Girls Singles); The Royal Colosseum (Basketball Girls); FAST (Badminton Girls Double); Greenwich University (Throwball). The Sports Blitz 2024 not only celebrated athletic excellence but also fostered teamwork and sportsmanship among participants.
