Zindigi Launches Overseas Accounts, Allowing Pakistanis Abroad to Bank Without a Pakistani SIM

Zindigi Overseas Accounts bring digital banking services closer to Pakistanis living abroad.
Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, has launched Zindigi Overseas Accounts to help Pakistanis living abroad open and manage bank accounts in Pakistan without a Pakistani mobile number or a branch visit.
The new service allows eligible overseas Pakistanis to complete the account-opening process digitally. Customers can register through their existing international WhatsApp numbers and open a bank account with an International Bank Account Number (IBAN), rather than a conventional digital wallet.
Zindigi aims to make banking simpler and more accessible for Pakistanis worldwide. The service helps customers manage financial commitments at home, even while living overseas.
Through the Zindigi App, account holders can support family members, pay utility bills, manage household expenses and make local transfers. The service allows them to handle these transactions from wherever they live.

Digital Accounts for Overseas Pakistanis
Eligible applicants can use a Pakistan Origin Card (POC), National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) or Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) to access the digital onboarding facility.
Zindigi offers two account options to meet different financial requirements:
- Non-Resident Account Repatriable (NRAR)
- Non-Resident Account Non-Repatriable (NRAN)
Customers can select an account according to their financial needs and applicable regulatory requirements.
Zindigi Highlights Its Borderless Banking Vision
Commenting on the launch, Noman Azhar, Co-Founder and Chief Officer of Zindigi by JS Bank, said the service marked another step towards making banking accessible to Pakistanis worldwide.
“At Zindigi, our vision is to make banking simpler, more accessible, and truly borderless for every Pakistani. The launch of Zindigi Overseas Accounts is another meaningful step towards that vision.
“We believe geographical boundaries should never limit access to financial services. By enabling overseas Pakistanis to open and manage their accounts digitally using their international mobile numbers, we are bringing banking closer to millions of Pakistanis who call another country home but remain deeply connected to Pakistan,” he said.
The launch strengthens Zindigi’s commitment to digital banking innovation. It also aims to remove traditional barriers and extend essential financial services to Pakistanis living beyond the country’s borders.
