Women Entrepreneurs TDAP Seminar Promotes Export Readiness and Global Market Access

Participants attend TDAP’s export readiness seminar for women entrepreneurs in Islamabad
Women entrepreneurs gained practical export knowledge during a seminar jointly organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD) in Islamabad.

The seminar, titled “Export Readiness for Women Entrepreneurs: Registration, Branding & Market Access,” focused on export registration, branding, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection and international market access.
First, Humaira Israr opened the event. She stressed the importance of institutional partnerships and capacity-building programmes. She said these initiatives strengthen women-led businesses and improve Pakistan’s export competitiveness.
Next, Hira Arshad welcomed the participants. She highlighted TDAP’s efforts to expand export opportunities through training, awareness programmes and institutional support.
Meanwhile, Samina Fazil, President of the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to supporting women-led businesses and increasing their role in exports.
The seminar featured three expert-led technical sessions.
First, Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed from the Pakistan Single Window explained business registration procedures, export documentation and regulatory requirements.
Then, Owais Hassan Shaikh discussed trademark protection and brand identity. He encouraged entrepreneurs to protect their intellectual property before entering international markets.
Finally, Ali Tamkin Butt shared practical strategies for entering global markets. He explained how businesses can find international buyers, use digital trade platforms and expand exports.
The seminar attracted women entrepreneurs, representatives of the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry and members of the business community. In addition, participants joined interactive discussions and asked questions about export challenges and available support.
At the end of the programme, organisers presented certificates to all participants. Overall, TDAP reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs through training, partnerships and export-focused initiatives.
