Karachi : Provincial Minister of Culture Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah has said that today’s ceremony should be held in the sense that diplomats, politicians, journalists and people from other fields have been chosen for the award.
Congratulations to Kokab Iqbal for organizing such a big event. He addressed the 18th Consumer Choice Award ceremony organized by the Consumer Association of Pakistan at a local hotel.
On this occasion, Provincial Minister of Industry Jam Ikramullah Dharijo, PPP Member National Assembly Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Provincial Advisor Syed Waqar Mehdi, Director General of Foreign Affairs Irfan Soomro and host Chairman Consumer Association Kokab Iqbal also spoke.
Heads, representatives and dignitaries of various companies from Turkey, Bahrain, Oman and other countries participated in the ceremony.
On this occasion, trophies and shields were distributed among more than 105 participants, cake was also cut in the ceremony. The band of ASF played tunes. In the ceremony, the hybrid car of the new model of Korea also became the center of attention of the participants.
Addressing the event, Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah further said that the Sindh government encourages such activities in which people are given a place of respect and dignity. Culture and tourism is the sector that the country prioritizes to move forward. He said that the consumers’ rights have been protected by the establishment of consumer association.
The Chief Guest of the Diplomat Icon Award, Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce Ikramullah Dharijo said that Consumer Association of Pakistan is playing a significant role in protecting the rights of consumers.He said that it is very important for consumers to be aware of their rights, if consumers are aware of their rights, then product manufacturers will take special care of the quality.
Member of National Assembly Mirza Ikhtiar Baig said that elements who sell substandard and expensive items are afraid of Consumer Association. He said that we fully support the mission of Kokab Iqbal. Director General Foreign Affairs Irfan Soomro said that such an event presents a good image of Pakistan. The purpose of award distribution is to remember and pay tribute to people.
He said that the number of people attending the award ceremony has always increased, which shows that people’s confidence in Kokab Iqbal is increasing.
Provincial Advisor Waqar Mehdi said that the basic rights of the people are highlighted by the establishment of Consumer Association. He said that the establishment of consumer courts has been implemented only on the demand of Kokab Iqbal, everyone should strengthen the hands of Kokab Iqbal.
The host Chairman Consumer Association Kokab Iqbal thanked the guests and said that our platform gives awards to those whose performance is impressive. The purpose of the Consumer Choice Award is to encourage consumers who produce quality products.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah was presented with a shield by the host Kokab Iqbal and others while Waqar Mehdi and Irfan Soomro were also presented with shields.
Among the recipients of trophies, diplomats and famous artists of different countries Ayaz Khan, Nadia Baloch, Asadullah Larak, Ahmed Mughal, Saeed Ghani, Imad Ansari, Abdul Salam Dada bhai, Colonel retired Moinuddin, Haji Salahuddin, Maria Rashidi, Ruhi Akbar.
Naveed Paparani, Naveed Alam, Azra Bano, Dr. Irfan Lutfi, Inspector Paras, Syed Tarab Shah, Mudassar Alam, Mohammad Javed Qureshi, Faisal Siddiqui, Saqib Aqeel, Ajmal, Ahsan Mehenti, Asad Ali and others were included. High tea was served at the end of the ceremony.
