On the directives of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, a Solidarity Rally with Pakistan Armed Forces was taken out at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur organized by the Peace and Harmony Society. The rally was led by Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi, Director Institute of Islamic Studies and Dr. Siraj Ahmed Soomro, Chairman Department of Pakistan Studies from the Institute of Islamic Studies. The Rally culminated at the Main Gate of University. The teachers and students chanted slogans in favor of the Pakistan Armed Forces and Unity of Pakistan.
Talking to the participants of rally, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari said Pakistan’s Army is defending the ideological and territorial boundaries of Pakistan with devotion, commitment as religious duty. During the war against India, Pakistan Army troops fought against India and defended each and every inch of Pak borders. During the peace period in the advent of any eventuality and natural disasters i.e. flood, rains, cyclones and earthquake, the Pak Army stood with the affected people and participated fully in terms of rescue, relief and rehabilitation. He highly condemned the malicious internal and external designs against Pak Army especially the social media trial that is being started.
Prof. Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi said we along with our students are with Pakistan Army in every time. He said this rally is being organized to show solidarity and unity with Pak Armed Forces who are committed with the Islamic ideology. He said our youth is well aware and they condemning the social media campaign against Army.
Dr. Siraj Ahmed Soomro said since the Independence of Pakistan, Pak Army is united against evil forces. He said we will not allow anyone to express derogatory remarks against Armed Forces because they are the defenders of the nation. Mr. Ali Raza Lashari conducted the proceedings of the speeches.
