Karachi, Pakistan — Qatar Airways is pleased to announce that it has resumed three-weekly flights to Sialkot from Doha, starting today. The Sialkot service is operated by Qatar Airways’ state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in the award-winning Qsuite Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

The airline recently increased its services to Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, and now operates 52 weekly flights to five gateways in Pakistan with its Boeing 787 and A350 aircraft.

Qatar Airways Group Regional Manager, Indian Subcontinent, Karthik Viswanathan, said: “We are excited to resume our services to Sialkot in Pakistan, offering our Pakistan passengers extended connectivity to 33 destinations in Europe, 13 destinations in the Americas, and the UK via the Best Airport in the Middle East.”

“The resumption of Sialkot services will see the national carrier of the State of Qatar’s Pakistan flights return to just over 75% of what the airline operated pre-COVID-19.  We remain committed to serving our customers in Pakistan and are striving to ensure we operate as many flights as possible, in line with the directions of the Pakistan government.”

To ensure a safe travel experience, passengers from Pakistan are required to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR medical test. Passengers will need to present a negative test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure when checking in. For information on laboratories accepted by Qatar Airways, visit

Qatar Airways recently became the first global airline in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating by the international air transport rating organization, Skytrax. This follows HIA’s recent success as the first and only airport in the Middle East and Asia to be awarded a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating. These recognitions provide assurance to passengers across the world that airline health and safety standards are subject to the highest possible standards of professional, independent scrutiny and assessment. For full details of all the measures that have been implemented on board and in HIA, please visit qatarairways.com/safety.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its network, which currently stands at over 130 destinations. With more frequencies being added to key hubs, Qatar Airways offers unrivalled connectivity to passengers, making it easy for them to change their travel dates or destination if they need to.

Qatar Airways also targets becoming the first airline in the Middle East to begin trialing the innovative new IATA Travel Pass ‘Digital Passport’ mobile app, in partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), from March 2021. The trial will play an important role in the airline’s vision to have a more contactless, secure, and seamless travel experience for its passengers.

With multiple award-winning airlines, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’, ‘World’s Best Business Class’, and ‘Best Business Class Seat’, in recognition of its ground-breaking Business Class experience, Qsuite. The Qsuite seat layout is a 1-2-1 configuration, providing passengers with the most spacious, fully private, comfortable, and social distanced Business Class product in the sky. Qsuite is available on flights to more than 45 destinations including Frankfurt, Johannesburg, London, and New York. It is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted ‘Skytrax Airline of the Year’ title, which is recognized as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry, five times.
