ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed PTV to focus on highlighting country’s soft image, national heritage, and ideology of Pakistan.
He was chairing a meeting over reforms in Pakistan Television in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister asked the PTV administration to evolve a coordinated plan to overcome financial difficulties of the organization.
The Prime Minister was briefed that PTV is facing outstanding amount of 5.8 billion rupees, while it has to pay 14 billion rupees to pensioners, and 1.2 billion rupees are further needed to upgrade its network.
Managing Director PTV Arshad Khan presented a cheque of eight million rupees on behalf of PTV employees to Prime Minister Imran Khan for dam fund.
