Karachi Pakistan : Port Qasim Authority’s under construction Buoy Tender’s launching ceremony was conducted at Eregli Shipyard in Turkiye on 29th June, 2024. Port Qasim Authority will add a new state of art Buoy Tender in its fleet soon after its trials. The 49 km long channel consisting of navigational marks/ buoys requires a specialized vessel in role of Buoy Tender. It will be utilized for laying and maintenance of Nav-aids of channel to ensure safety of navigation for ships.
The keel Laying Ceremony was carried out on 19th October, 2023. The construction of the new vessel is progressing on track. After necessary outfitting of machinery and equipment trials will be conducted. Subsequently,
the vessel will be delivered at Port Qasim Authority by 12th September, 2024.
