Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on all Pakistanis, especially the youth, to work together to make Pakistan debt-free and self-reliant. Speaking to young members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in Islamabad, he highlighted recent economic improvements, such as lower interest rates and inflation. Sharif also noted that remittances from Pakistanis abroad and exports of agricultural products are increasing, showing the economy is moving in a positive direction. He mentioned that the IMF will review Pakistan’s loan programme on the 25th of this month. The Prime Minister thanked friendly countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China for their support in this process.
