Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed PTI Chairman Imran Khan to provide foolproof security. Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing by the Interior Ministry on Imran Khan’s security.
The Prime Minister directed that Imran Khan be provided Chief Security Officer immediately.
He said that the provincial governments should provide security to Imran Khan during the meetings.
According to a Home Ministry spokesman, the government has asked for the deployment of forces for the security of the former prime minister.
The Interior Ministry said that two meetings were held for Imran Khan’s security after which his security has been beefed up.
The Home Ministry spokesman said that the threat assessment for Imran Khan’s security had been convened on various threats. It was necessary to appoint a PTI focal person for Imran Khan’s security. ?
According to the Home Ministry spokesperson, police and FC personnel have been deployed for the security of Bani Gala House.
The security personnel include 22 Islamabad police personnel, 72 FC personnel, 36 KP police personnel and six GB personnel provided by the provincial governments for security.
The Interior Ministry said that 26 SMS security personnel and 9 military security personnel were also stationed at Bani Gala House. During the movement, Imran Khan was accompanied by four Islamabad police vehicles, 23 personnel and a Ranger vehicle and five personnel.
