The two-day event brought together leading experts in hematology, oncology, and related fields from the United States, United Kingdom, and other regions, alongside fellows, trainees, and emerging professionals. The summit focused on knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and innovation to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

HOPPE, founded by Dr. Khurram Tariq, aims to create a global platform connecting clinicians and advancing accessible, high-quality cancer care. The leadership team includes Dr. Aamir Ehsan, Dr. Kiran Naqvi, Dr. Hassan Kaleem, and Dr. Humera Shafi.

A key highlight was the keynote address by Dr. Anne-Corinne Beaver, who shared her personal journey of overcoming breast cancer. Dr. Muzaffar Qazilbash from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center also addressed participants, offering insights into advanced cancer treatment and research.

Organisers said the summit emphasised a family-inclusive approach and featured CME-accredited sessions, expert panels, and networking opportunities to foster collaboration across specialties.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Tariq described the summit as a milestone in building a global network focused on innovation, mentorship, and compassionate care. He also announced the formation of HOPPE’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Scientific Advisory Board.

The organisation plans to expand its initiatives through future summits, research collaborations, leadership training, and partnerships with cancer clinics in South Asia, aiming to improve access to quality healthcare.

Prominent attendees included Salman Bhojani, Dr. Hasan Jalisi, Dr. Sanaullah, and Dr. Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh.

The summit concluded with cultural activities, including a performance by Pakistani-American qawwal Arsalan Rabbani, highlighting community engagement alongside scientific exchange.
