Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Islamabad, where both sides discussed evolving regional dynamics and explored avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

During the meeting, the British envoy appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating a ceasefire during recent tensions between Iran and the United States, acknowledging Islamabad’s constructive engagement in promoting regional stability.
The two sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in key areas including energy, security, minerals development, investment promotion, and technical support for sustainable development. They also emphasized the importance of institutional partnerships to deepen long-term cooperation between the two countries.
Governor Kundi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the primary means of resolving conflicts and ensuring peace in the region and beyond. He noted that Pakistan has consistently supported negotiated solutions to regional challenges.
Highlighting people-to-people ties, Kundi pointed out that a significant number of skilled professionals, technical experts, and young workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are contributing to various sectors in the United Kingdom. He expressed hope that the British government would expand opportunities for Pakistani youth, particularly from KP, to work and develop their skills abroad.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their intent to further strengthen bilateral relations through cooperation in economic, technical, and human resource development sectors.
Later, Jane Marriott hosted a dinner in honour of Faisal Karim Kundi, marking the continued engagement between the two sides.
