KARACHI — Pakistan Cables Ltd. has signed a Project Agreement with Legal Aid Society (LAS) to conduct legal awareness and capacity-building sessions for the company’s female employees as part of its commitment to inclusion and responsible corporate citizenship.

The collaboration is designed to foster a more inclusive workplace culture by educating employees about legal frameworks that protect and empower women. Through the initiative, LAS will provide practical guidance on legal rights, justice mechanisms, and dispute resolution processes.

According to the agreement, training fees will be directed as a corporate donation to support LAS community legal clinics that provide assistance to marginalized women, extending the partnership’s social impact beyond the workplace.

Pakistan Cables Ltd. stated that the initiative reflects its continued focus on employee wellbeing, inclusion, and meaningful community engagement across Pakistan.

About Legal Aid Society

Founded in 2013, the Legal Aid Society is one of Pakistan’s leading legal empowerment organizations, working to improve access to justice and rights awareness for underserved communities, particularly in Sindh.

The organization combines legal awareness programs, free legal support, and institutional partnerships through community-based interventions and technology-enabled platforms including SLACC and NAZ Assist.

LAS says it has reached more than 87 million people, responded to over 550,000 legal queries, and supported more than 3,000 legal cases nationwide. The organization is also ISO 9001:2015 certified and follows ethical, transparent, and Shariah-compliant practices.
