PAF to transform Naltar Valley into a hub of winter sports: Air Chief

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan has said that PAF had envisioned to transform Naltar valley into a hub of winter sports and this scenic place would host further events in future as well.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony of First International Karakoram Marathon in Islamabad, he lauded the efforts of organizers and sponsors for arranging the mega event.

The Air Chief hoped that the international guests would take along nice memories of our traditional hospitality.

He said sports not only provide healthy activities, but also promote friendly relations among the countries.

This one of its kind high-altitude marathon took place at an elevation of 11,300 ft above sea-level.

A total of 150 athletes from twenty seven countries including Pakistan participated in the marathon organized by Pakistan Air Force in collaboration with other private partners.
