Karachi: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has launched “NBP SmartPay,” a comprehensive digital payment platform aimed at streamlining financial operations for businesses across Pakistan.
The newly introduced platform is designed as an integrated cash management solution catering to corporate, commercial, and small and medium enterprise (SME) clients. It enables businesses to manage a wide range of financial transactions through a single, user-friendly digital interface.
With NBP SmartPay, users can perform vendor payments, payroll processing, utility bill settlements, and tax payments seamlessly, reducing operational complexity and improving efficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, NBP President and CEO Rehmat Ali Hasnie described the launch as a key milestone in the bank’s digital transformation journey, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to supporting businesses with innovative financial solutions and promoting a digitally inclusive economy.
Chief Digital Officer Adnan Nasir highlighted that the platform reflects NBP’s focus on customer-centric innovation, adding that SmartPay leverages advanced technology to offer enhanced control, transparency, and convenience in financial management.
Officials said the platform incorporates robust security features to ensure safe and reliable transactions, while its intuitive design allows businesses to efficiently manage their financial workflows.
The launch of NBP SmartPay comes amid growing adoption of digital financial services in Pakistan, with banks increasingly introducing technology-driven solutions to enhance business productivity and financial accessibility.
